I routinely listen to podcasts while driving or doing other menial tasks. I discovered a new one the other day called Food Network Humor. The two women who run the show also have a blog.
The idea of th podcast is to satirize the hosts of various Food Network shows most notably Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, the Neelys, Sandra Lee and Bobby Flay Seeing as how Food Network is constantly on the TV at my house, I became an instant fan. You can find the podcast by searching iTunes.
The blog has some funny posts, including this one.

They lost me when they started ripping on Paula Deen. I love that woman with big smooshy kisses. She is AWESOME, ya’ll! I would gladly eat anything she makes. The woman LOVES butter. She’s perfect in my book.
Seriously, they do like her. They also like to make fun of some of the stuff she does. Aside from Alton Brown, I would say Paula Deen is their favorite.
i’m sorry sir, is that your purse?
are you an OTR driver now? seriously? you are driving that 2.3 miles from home to the office that much? tired of listening to the clash, big star, DuMBo, car talk, diane rehm?
did you google maps me?
funny enough i don’t often listen to podcasts on my way in to work. but there are times when I actually have to drive around this miserable city of ours, making numerous stops along the way. podcasts allow me to not miss a minute of programming with the handy dandy PAUSE button. it really bothers me when i have to go into a meeting while npr is discussing narwhals.
plus i get to skip those pointless musical interludes on fresh air. “we’ll be back after a break.” WTF?
although i was a routine listener, i grew weary of listening to click and clack laugh at their own stupid jokes. a pet peeve of mine.
some stations that carry fresh air and several other npr programs are commercial stations so it allows time for ads plus its a way to dive in and out of fund raisers which occur at different times at different stations.
what?! i can’t get a rise out of you over “DuMBo”?! i do like that name for them and as far as i know, i invented it.
C’EST LA VIE.
