A handful of thoughts:

1) OSU scheduled a non-conference game against a division I school?

2) Every stadium he cited was an SEC stadium. Obviously they are going to be more intimidating, they hate you more. You would probably argue UM is more hostile than Florida. The first comment says the USC/OSU wasn't that great. It's different when it's non-conference.

3) There is a difference between loud and intimidating. Loud makes it difficult for lineman to hear the quarterback, which makes it tough to get off the line fast, and also causes some false start penalties. Once young players start to make mistakes, they make more mistakes, and this phenomenon is mistaken for intimidation, it's loudness and lack of concentration.

4) All of that (devil's advocate) nonsense stated, football has to be the sport with the most crowd influence. That's crowd, not field, where baseball could arguably reign #1. But it's tough because it's loud. And I don't care if this is a nationally-televised game or not, I bet Indiana is still loud. But, truly, I can't wait for the Ohio and Eastern Michigan games.

5) OSU season ticket holders bought 4 games for the price of 8. I hate the BCS and I hate preseason rankings. But I should start loving OSU again because UC may suck this year.

It started out as a local restaurant in Jamestown, NY. It has a rather fanatical following (all the kids coming home from college had to stop there), but no one in Jamestown really believed that it would survive elsewhere in the world.
