I don't get why people get so uproarious if it comes to light that a performer may have lip synced a song during some important event. If you can't instantly tell that the person is lip syncing and you didn't directly contribute a dime for the performance, what does it matter? Should not we be accustomed to artificial performances in this day and age?

For those unaware, there is current speculation that Beyonce' lip synced the national anthem at the inauguration this week.
